WOLVES TO COMPLETE SIGNING OF LOANEE

Wolves have enjoyed a good return to the Premier League as they are the highest ranked promoted side in the League. It has been an excellent debut season for manager Nuno Espirito Santo as he has been able to assemble a team capable of beating the top teams in the league.

One player that played a huge role in this run is Mexico international Raul Jimenez. The forward currently on loan from Portuguese side Benfica has proven to be a masterstroke transfer for the Premier League side.

Tall, and physically imposing the forward has been able to lead the line excellently for the club this season. his ability to play with his back to goal, good link-up play and eye for goal has seen his stock rise at the club.

Latest reports from England reveals that the club are ready to make his loan move permanent in the summer. Wolves paid a loan fee of 2.7 million for the player and it is understood that Benfica are holding out for a transfer fee of around £25 million which could rise to £30 million with bonuses.

The Telegraph claims that Wolves are in advanced negotiations with Benfica and the player has already agreed on personal terms with the club.  If Wolves complete the transfer it would surpass the previous transfer record paid for a player.

Former Middlesbrough forward Adama Traore currently holds the record as the club paid £18 million to secure his services last summer. Although Traore is yet to light up the Premier League Jimenez has already proven his worth and can get better next season.

Wolves have been tying down a number of their impressive loan signings with Spanish wing-back Jota recently secured on a permanent transfer from Atletico Madrid after impressing this season. Wolves currently lie seventh in the Premier League with seven games left to play in the season.
